CONSULTANTS - PLASTIC & RECONSTRUCTIVE SURGERY
 

Mr. Tony Moss FRCS

Mr. Tony Moss, until very recently, was a Consultant Paediatric Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, based at St Georges, with clinics in Kingston, Mayday and Roehampton. He was appointed in 1989 having been a Senior Registrar in Bristol, Glasgow and Auckland, New Zealand.

He has been heavily involved in under and postgraduate education, being Chair of the Board of Surgical Education at St Georges, an Assessor of Examiners for the Intercollegiate Board of Plastic Surgery. He has been on the SAC and is still a member of the Hand Surgery Interface Committee.

Academically, he has published over 100 papers on various subjects and was the invited speaker to the Scientific Congress of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons last year. He is an Honorary Senior Lecturer, University of London. He has also been involved with overseas projects as part of the Australasian Interplast and AusAid programme.

Managerially and politically, he has been a Member of Council British Association of Plastic Surgeons (and various sub committees), involved with the HRG working group, London Cluster Clinical Advisory Group for Connecting for Health, Associate of Modernisation agency, etc etc.

Clinically, apart from routine paediatric problems like moles, birthmarks, vascular lesions, post treatment scarring/deformities, he had a main interest in cleft lip and palate, speech problems as well as congenital upper limb anomalies (e.g. extra digits, syndactyly).
In addition, he has had a specific interest in congenital chest wall deformities and facial palsy.

The adult part of his practice includes minor surgery with benign and malignant skin lesions, vascular lesions, post traumatic scarring and deformities. He has an interest in elective hand surgery (Dupuytrens contracture, carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, ganglions). In the cosmetic area he has an interest in nose, eyelid and ear deformities and would be happy giving advice etc for abdominal wall problems and possibly liposuction.

Mr. Tony Moss is on the Specialist Register with the General Medical Council (No. 1485705).
