Mr. Andrew Cobb FRCS
His areas of special interest are lower limb problems, hip and knee replacement, hip resurfacing and revision hip and knee replacement, sports injuries and athroscopic surgery to the hip, knee and ankle. Foot surgery including correction of bunions, metatarsal osteotomy and toe straightening as well as complex foot realignment procedures. Mr. Cobb qualified at the Middlesex Hospital, London in 1977 and trained as a Senior House Officer on a rotation in Bristol, as Registrar in Oxford and Senior Registrar on the St Bartholomew's Hospital rotation through Norwich, Great Ormond street and was the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital Clinical Fellow in joint replacement surgery at the Harvard University Medical School, Boston in 1987, and ABC Travelling Fellow in 1992. Mr. Cobb was previously a Consultant at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, and Senior Lecturer in Orthopaedics in the Institute of Orthopaedics, University College, London. He was Education Secretary and now a member of Council of the British Orthopaedic Association. Intercollegiate FRCS Orth. Examiner 1999-2004. He was a member of the international design team for the ASR surface hip implant from De Puy, a Johnson and Johnson company, and is the author of many papers on hip and knee surgery and international lecturer on hip resurfacing.
