Consultants - Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Miss Sonja Cerovac

Miss Cerovac has been a Consultant Plastic and Hand Surgeon at Kingston and St George's Hospitals since December 2008. She trained at various London Hospitals prior to completion of South London Specialist Registrar Rotation at St George's, Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals in London and Queen Victoria Hospital in East Grinstead.

She has undertaken fellowships in hand and wrist surgery at Wrightington Hospital in Wigan and private Hand Clinic in Windsor. Both of these institutions are renowned for their clinical excellence offering a superb experience in treatment of various elective and chronic hand and wrist conditions - nerve decompressions, Dupuytren's fasciectomies, tendon surgery, complex treatments of degenerative wrist arthropathies, instabilities, ligament reconstructions and arthroscopic wrist treatments etc. Such experience supplemented very well her expertise in management of acute hand trauma developed over the years whilst working at various plastic surgery departments.

During Aesthetic Surgery fellowship at the McIndoe Surgical Centre in East Grinstead, Miss Cerovac's had an opportunity to work alongside reputable group of aesthetic surgeons and independently perform a variety of cosmetic surgery procedures. Throughout her training she took active part in the management of patients undergoing a broad spectrum of cosmetic operations of face and body as most of her training took place well before introduction of NHS rationing.

Miss Cerovac obtained a postgraduate research degree at the University College London and has published and presented nationally and internationally, mainly in the field of hand surgery.
