Dr. Shakil Rahman MRCP

Dr. Shakil Rahman is a consultant Physician with a special interest in respiratory diseases.

Dr. Rahman's postgraduate higher specialist training was completed in Sheffield and London teaching hospitals, including the Royal Brompton Hospital.

His specialist interests include the management of:

• Asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease ("bronchitis")

• Lung infections including bronchiectasis and pneumonia Interestial lung diseases (pulmonary fibrosis)

• Acute and chronic recurrent pulmonary emboli

• Diagnosis and management of lung cancer

• Management of pleural effusions & pneumothorax

• Difficult cough syndrome

Dr. Rahman's acute medical expertise includes management of all acute and sub-acute medical emergencies such as hypertension, congestive cardiac failure, collapse, pyrexia of unknown origin (PUO) & septicaemia.

Dr. Shakil Rahman is on the Specialist Register with the General Medical Council (No. 3554492).

Clinic: Tuesday afternoon and evening, Saturday morning.
